Fire Risk Assessments a requirement under the Fire Safety Reform Act. What number and type of fire extinguishers should you have and where do they need to be located ? How many fire exits are needed ?
Safety Advice -during the planning for the event, building the event, the event days and returning the site to normal.
Medical and Fire Cover advice and procurement what do you need? Who can provide the right level  of cover at the best price?
Event Emergency Planning planning to respond effectively to what might happen and how your event teams can effectively work alongside the Emergency Services if required
Assisting with multi-agency meetings and Safety Advisory Group (SAG) meetings your link to the Emergency Services and Local Authorities, guiding you through the process, helping you to show that Safety is important to you, and your Event.

DURING YOUR EVENT

Event Control

Event Safety Officer attending the show build, event days and de-rig your personal advisor, checking how things are going, dynamically risk assessing the site as you prepare for the show, or event, and being there to advise you, should there is an incident or problem and, importantly, to help you solve it. Investigating any reported problems and then giving you options on how it may be safely resolved.
Emergency Management during the event if there is an incident or problem, guiding your response, co-ordination of staff or volunteers, working on your behalf with the Emergency Services should they need to attend your event.
Event Radio Controllers – trained and experienced to manage the communications between your staff and volunteers, capable of taking over ‘the net’ and running an incident whilst logging any actions, to give you a record of what happened and how it was managed, vital for the debrief and if there were to be a resultant inquest or inquiry. It can also be most useful as ‘evidence’ to defend your event, and it’s reputation, should there be any civil action, or criminal prosecution, against it.
Stewards and Staff briefings ensuring everyone knows the part they play in delivering a safe event and what to do if there is a problem or incident.

AFTER YOUR EVENT
Debrief Meeting to identify lessons for future shows
what went well, what didn’t go so well, what can be improved before the next show ?

We have staff trained and certificated in NPIA (National Police Improvement Agency) structured debriefs.

Each element can be provided in isolation or as part of a partial or full package – we tailor our service to your needs and to the size and complexity of your event.
We know that a lot of hard work goes into organising any event, whether it is a small community fete or a large public gathering – we are here to help and  guide you through ‘Event Safety’ , ‘Emergency Planning’ and ‘Counter Terrorism’ to make it as ‘stress free’ as we can.

Our aim is to provide you with a professional service that ensures that you, as an Event Organiser, are aware of your legal duties and requirements and that you comply with those duties as cost effectively as possible. We aim to ensure that you will have done everything that is ‘reasonable in the circumstances’ to ensure the safety of your staff or volunteers, those taking part in or visiting your event.

Medical and Fire Cover

Falcon Fire and Rescue

With years of experience in the Emergency Services we can offer advice on the level and extent of both the Medical Provision and Fire Cover for your event, often leading to cost savings but still providing a safe event.
It is easy to be sold more cover than you actually need, so using a blend of experience, common sense and the relevant guidance (Purple Guide, Green Guide etc) and linked directly to the risk assessments, we have often been able to adjust the level of cover and this has resulted in reduced costs but with no decrease in effective response. We have worked with many Medical Providers including St John Ambulance and numerous private medical companies. In addition we are
able to offer medical cover for certain small or community events . This may be for the build and de-rig stages of your event, if we are already on site acting as your Safety Officer this can help to reduce your costs.
For your event days, especially if you only need limited cover then our trained, equipped and insured staff can offer you professional and experienced medical cover.

For more information see our new page on Event Medical Cover

Event Fire or Aviation Cover
We know, and have worked well with event Fire & Rescue Services offering cover across most of the UK,  Falcon Fire & Rescue Service based in the East of England and their teams offer a range of vehicles for all types of events including Aviation cover for both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft, festival sites, show grounds and camping grounds. They integrate fully with the local authority fire service and have staff who are whole time or retained local authority fire fighters. Their vehicles and equipment are maintained to a very high standard and they regularly train to ensure a rapid and effective deployment should it be required. We have witnessed them dealing swiftly and professionally with real incidents.

If our Response Vehicle is on site it carries some first response fire fighting equipment including the following extinguishers
Foam, ABC Powder, CO2 , Wet Chemical and Fire Blankets as well as Fire Beaters and Knapsack tank for attacking grass fires.

Security providers and others

We work throughout the UK and with a variety of Security providers. We can work with the company that you appoint or we can assist you by suggesting suitable companies with whom we have worked and found to be both professional and reliable, one such company is Right Guard Security  with years of experience, including at major air shows and music festivals.

Aviation, Show & Event Safety Services are experienced in Event Safety, Security & Emergency Planning, as well as Counter Terrorism, it means that we can offer advice on security requirements to protect not only your show site, but also the reputation of your event.

Stewards are an important part of your event, helping and assisting your visitors and responding in an emergency. We can improve their usefulness by providing briefing documents or briefing sessions. If you have a company as your Steward provider, we can help to ensure that their staff are fully briefed and working to make your event a safe and successful one.

Safety and Traffic Management often go hand in hand for events both large and small – we have the experience to guide you and assist you in making decisions that are safe and cost effective.

We can ‘Tweet’ traffic information on the days of your event, and have direct access to enable traffic information to be broadcast on both local and BBC radio stations. This helps to keep the public informed about traffic conditions around your event, which also has the extra advantage that it raises awareness of your event at no cost to you.
